We celebrate Holy Communion each Sunday. We practice “open table” communion — all who believe and are baptized are welcome to the Lord’s table regardless of denomination. Gluten free wafers and grape juice are available. Our practice is to commune children after fifth grade First Communion class – please speak with a pastor regarding your situation.
Music is a huge part of Bethel’s services. Information on our various music programs is below, and don’t forget to also check out our media page for audio and video recordings!
Dr. Stephen Lawrence, who has been our director for more than 40 years, leads the Bethel Choir. The choir enriches our weekly worship services from September through May, with special music provided during the summer months.
The Choir has three special musical events each year, at Christmas, Easter and Springtime.
The Vocal Ensemble is a smaller group that also provides special music throughout the year.
Anyone who loves to sing is welcome to join us!
The Bethel Band and Brass Ensemble accompany the choir on many Sundays. Under the direction of Dr. Lawrence, these musicians enhance our service and showcase the many talented members of Bethel Lutheran Church. You don’t have to be a professional musician to be a part of this ministry. All you need is a love of music and worship! Practices are held on Saturday mornings – contact the church for more details.
